Mystery quilt

Becky Brown has offered to do a Mystery Quilt at the store! Following is all the information I have about the class: Mystery Quilt 9-month project taught by Becky Brown We will meet at Sally’s Back Porch Fabrics the first Tuesday of the month starting April 2017. The charge is $10.00 a month. Sally will have a discount if you choose your fabric at the store. I have some tricks to share with you on choosing fabric. The fabric requirements and choosing your fabric are given the first week. So, you will not need your machine. Cutting and Construction steps are posted in the following months—just enough to keep you guessing! Every month I will have a special quilting trick for you. On the last month, we will give you the final construction steps and reveal the mystery. Begin by digging through your stash for scraps or yardage in assorted light, medium and dark values as instructed in Fabric Requirements, or purchase new coordinating fabrics. It is important to remember that mystery-quilt patterns emerge best when high-contrast fabrics in color and/or value are chosen. Do not select directional fabrics unless you are willing to ignore their prints. Gather the total yardages listed. Now get ready to have some fun! Mystery Quilt: WEEK 1 FINISHED QUILT SIZE 66" x 84" FABRIC REQUIREMENTS for peicing: 5/8 yard light 7/8 yards dark 3 11/4 yards medium 12/3 yards dark 2 33/8 yards dark 1 You Will Also Need: Thread for piecing and quilting, Basic sewing tools and supplies. For Finishing: We suggest purchasing these yardages after completing the piecing and while referring to your favorite quilting guide. Coordinating binding, backing to size, batting to size.
